Worcester hosts Lottery’s Summer Cash Bash Thursday

  • WORCESTER — The Mass. State Lottery is bringing a beach-themed celebration to its Worcester office today (Thursday) as it wraps up its Summer Words promotion with the Summer Cash Bash.

State Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg and Lottery Executive Director Mark William Bracken will host the event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at 135 Gold Star Boulevard.

The highlight will be the $100,000 Cash Wheel, where 5 contestants chosen through weekly drawings will compete for prizes ranging from $10,000 to the grand prize of $100,000.

In addition, the Cash Drop game will give 10 players selected onsite a chance to win up to $1,000 for themselves and an at-home contestant paired with them. 5 more participants will be picked at random for $100 door prizes, which require being present to win.

The Worcester office will be transformed into a summer beach getaway for the event, organizers said.
