WORCESTER — Worcester police arrested a 39-year-old man after detectives executing a search warrant on Derby Street found 3 loaded handguns inside a residence, the department said Monday.
Officers recovered a loaded high-capacity 9mm pistol, a loaded high-capacity .45-caliber pistol and a loaded .380 pistol during the search, according to police.
Investigators arrested Deven Gallop, 39, on a series of gun charges. Gallop is charged with 2 counts of possession of a large-capacity firearm, 3 counts of possession of a large-capacity feeding device as a second or subsequent offense, and possession of a firearm in a dwelling without a license to carry as a second or subsequent offense.
He also faces a count of unlawful possession of ammunition, 3 counts of possession of a loaded firearm, a single armed career criminal charge, and 2 counts of improper storage of a large-capacity firearm.
Police did not release further details about the investigation.
