Worcester man refuses to move in drive-thru, busted for gun

  • WORCESTER — A Worcester man was arrested early Friday after police say they found a stolen gun and a knife during a disorderly conduct call at a Shrewsbury Street fast-food restaurant.

Worcester police were dispatched at about 1:43 a.m. to the restaurant after a caller reported an ongoing issue with a man who refused to move his vehicle forward in the drive-thru line.

Officers said the driver repeatedly refused to comply with requests to move the vehicle. When officers approached the car, they observed a knife under the driver’s seat.

Police removed the keys from the ignition and arrested the driver, identified as 27-year-old Aaron Wade of Worcester. During an inventory search of the vehicle, officers said they located a green satchel containing a black gun.

Police confirmed Wade did not have a license to carry and that the gun had been reported stolen.

Wade is facing multiple charges, including carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of ammunition without an F.I.D. card, disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct.
