WORCESTER — Worcester police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect accused of stealing approximately $15,000 worth of designer purses from a downtown business last week.
According to the Worcester Police Department, surveillance video shows an individual removing multiple purses from Sweet Jane’s Designer Consignment, located at 120 Main St. Police said the theft occurred sometime last week and involved high-value merchandise.
Investigators have released images from the surveillance footage in hopes that someone may recognize the individual or a vehicle believed to be connected to the theft.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Worcester Police Department Detective Bureau at 508-799-8651. Tips can also be submitted anonymously by texting CRIMES (274637) with the keyword “TIPWPD,” followed by a space and the message.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
