Worcester police arrest man, 67, after Main Street bank robbery

    WORCESTER — Worcester police arrested a 67-year-old man Monday afternoon after an armed robbery was reported at a Main Street bank, authorities said.

    Officers were called at approximately 1:44 p.m. on Monday, March 23th to Beacon Bank on Main Street for a report of an armed robbery. Police said a male entered the bank and demanded money while claiming he had a firearm. No injuries were reported during the incident.

    Officers later located the suspect on Sagamore Road, where he was taken into custody without incident. Police said officers found a bag full of cash on his person. No firearm was located.

    Michael Decarolis, 67, has been charged with armed robbery.
