The Worcester Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted in connection with a stabbing behind Worcester City Hall on Friday.
Police said the Worcester Police Detective Bureau is attempting to locate LeShawn Parrish in connection with the May 22nd stabbing on Worcester Common, behind City Hall.
Parrish has been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon involving a sharp object, according to police. Authorities said there is an active warrant for his arrest.
Police described Parrish as a Black male born Nov. 5th, 1981. The wanted poster lists him as 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. His last known address was listed as Worcester.
Anyone with information on Parrish’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Worcester Police Detective Bureau at 508-799-8651 or call 911.
Anonymous tips can also be sent by texting “TIPWPD” and a message to 274637, or through the Worcester Police Department’s online tip system at worcesterma.gov/police.
