WORCESTER — Steady rain in the forecast has prompted organizers to postpone this week's Out to Lunch Festival & Farmers' Market, originally scheduled for Wednesday on the Worcester Common Oval.
The Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District announced Tuesday morning that the event has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 9th.
The weekly lunchtime festival will resume as planned on Wednesday, August 5th. Organizers said that event will celebrate National Farmers' Market Week before the series continues every Wednesday through September 9th.
Out to Lunch features live music, local food vendors, fresh produce, artists and makers, community organizations, and family-friendly activities. The event has become a popular summertime tradition in downtown Worcester.
Organizers thanked attendees, vendors and the community for their understanding and said they look forward to welcoming visitors back on Aug. 5.
