WORCESTER — Swimmers will have an extra week to cool off at Crompton Park Pool before it closes for the season, the city of Worcester announced.
The Parks, Recreation & Cemetery Department said the pool will remain open through August 29th. It had previously been scheduled to close Saturday, August 22nd.
Worcester's beaches will close for the season Saturday, while the city's spray parks at East, Greenwood, University and Tacoma streets will remain open through Labor Day, September 7th.
The city reminded residents to swim only at locations where lifeguards are on duty and to use caution around waterfront areas.
