2-alarm fire strikes Worcester retirement community

  • The Worcester Fire Department responded to a 2-alarm fire at the Colony Retirement Home on Chadwick Street in Worcester on Saturday afternoon.

    Residents of the Colony III Congregate Housing complex were evacuated by firefighters, according to Facebook posts by Paul Shea of Paul Shea Photography.

    A 76-second video shows firefighters assisting residents.

    "Worcester Firefighters help assist residents out of the building at a two alarm fire at the colony retirement home on Chadwick Street this afternoon," the post reads.

    There does not appear to be any reports of injuries.
