Police arrest woman who "forgot" to pay for over $400 in merchandise from Holden gift shop
Blushing Bee Naturals (Facebook)
HOLDEN - Holden police have made an arrest in the case of a woman who allegedly "forgot" to pay for over $400 in merchandise from the Blushing Bee Naturals gift shop in Holden.
The incident came to light last Thursday when Blushing Bee Naturals issued an urgent plea for help on their Facebook page.
The shop posted surveillance photos of the unidentified woman along with a message that read: "Blushing Bee needs your help in identifying this woman in connection with over $400.00 dollars of missing merchandise.
"Law enforcement will be reviewing our footage in the morning.
"This is a heartbreak for us. Please help if you can by messaging me on Facebook or texting me at 774-230-6214."
The Holden Police Department launched an investigation and requested the public's assistance in identifying the individual. On Friday, December 1st, the police department issued an update, stating: "The individual involved in this case has been identified and will be charged accordingly in court. Holden PD would like to thank the public for their assistance in helping to identify this person."
The identity of the arrested individual and the specific charges they will face have not been disclosed at this time. However, this incident serves as a reminder that shoplifting is a crime that carries legal consequences, and businesses can rely on their communities and local law enforcement to seek justice when theft occurs.
Blushing Bee Naturals thanked customers and police, writing: "Kudos to Holden Police Department. You guys rock !!!!! Thank you to all my Blushing Bee Friends. Love you guys."
