HOLDEN — A significant overnight power outage is scheduled in Holden as crews work to reroute electrical infrastructure on Shrewsbury Street and Doyle Road.
The outage, set by the Holden Municipal Light Department, will begin at 11 p.m. Monday, September 23rd and is expected to last until approximately 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The extensive power disruption will impact multiple streets including Acorn Drive, Anderson Avenue, Birchwood Drive, Brattle Street, Evans Road, Fairchild Drive, Holden Street, Lowell Avenue, Nelson Street, Oak Circle, Pilgrim Drive, Shrewsbury Street, Timber Lane, and Woodhaven Road, among others. This necessary adjustment is due to a Department of Transportation project in the region, affecting both major thoroughfares and residential lanes.
Alongside the outage, road closures will commence one hour before the power cut at 10 p.m. and will impact several of the same areas. Residents are advised to plan travel accordingly and expect delays in the affected zones.
