Woman killed in act of domestic violence in Worcester: W.P.D.

    WORCESTER — In a tragic manifestation of domestic violence, a woman was stabbed to death at a Douglas Street apartment, with a man arrested for the crime, the Worcester Police Department reported on Wednesday evening.

    Officers were dispatched shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday, February 14th following an emergency call. Officers found a woman suffering from stab wounds. Despite immediate medical intervention and rapid transport to the hospital, she was pronounced dead.

    The police arrested a man on the scene.

    Citing the domestic nature of the death, police did not identify the victim or the suspect.
