Wrentham – Today following a successful event with Governor Chris Sununu, Chris Doughty, Republican candidate for Governor, launched a new website called StopMauraHealey.com. Doughty believes it is extremely important that voters know her real record.
“This week we saw a Taxachusetts miracle. I jest. With less than 100 days to the General Election, Healey is now claiming she wants tax cuts. That’s not the Maura of a month ago,” said Doughty.
In March, Healey said no to a gas tax holiday. Instead of sympathizing over the pain at the pump, Healey lectured drivers on using gas powered cars. More recently, Healey has said she is open to both TCI and a carbon tax. While the Attorney General has not been shy about commenting on every national issue, she has been silent on the $250 rebate checks the legislature was considering.
“Healey has never cared about taxpayers or rate payers. This website is needed to set the record straight,” said Doughty.
Doughty points out that as Attorney General she has already hurt the wallets of Massachusetts residents. Healey killed the natural gas pipelines which has caused utility rates to soar while also being bad for the environment.
“Healey has a track record of putting her political agenda ahead of the needs of the people. We are all paying higher utility bills due to Healey. Hence, no taxpayer could ever trust her when it comes to our wallets,” said Doughty.
The website also features the Attorney General’s failures to go after political corruption. In nearly eight years in office, Healey has not brought one corruption case against a politician in office."
The website also points out that the Attorney General solicited and received campaign contributions from a developer who admitted to making illegal campaign contributions to Democrat politicians.
Attorney General Maura Healey has solicited campaign contributions from Arthur Winn. The developer admitted in federal court to funneling tens of thousands of dollars in illegal campaign contributions to Democrat politicians, such as U.S. Senator Ed Markey, U.S. Reps. Steven Lynch and Michael Capuano. He also took care of former state Senator Dianne Wilkerson, last seen on an FBI surveillance video stuffing $100 bills into her bra. Healey collected a $1,000 contribution on December 27, 2021. The Attorney General can receive another $1,000 from Winn in 2022.
Team Doughty plans on adding more to the website so stay tuned to StopMauraHealey.com.
