There is a new restaurant coming to Lincoln Plaza. Here’s what you need to know.
1. The new restaurant will take the place of Plaza Azteca, a Mexican restaurant that was open April 2010 until early 2018.
2. The new place is Hook & Reel, a Cajun seafood restaurant.

3. Hook & Reel is a chain whose first restaurant opened in 2013. According to its website, “The first Hook & Reel Restaurant was opened in Lanham, Maryland in 2013, by founder Miller. Miller fancies himself as a gastronome and ‘foodie’ extensively, exploring the food culture of many regions of this and other countries. One of his food explorations in 2008, centered around the vibrantly, flavorful and spicy cuisine of Louisiana. He so enjoyed the Southern flavor profile, and spin on French Seafood, that he found himself often cooking many of the specialties he first had in New Orleans, for his friends and family."
4. Hook & Reel has 13 locations, including one in Revere. The others are in New York (3), Maryland (2), Florida (2), Idaho, Utah, North Carolina, South Carolina and New Jersey.
5. The chain is in the midst of large and rapid expansion that will more than triple the number of its locations. Lincoln Street is one of 27 new restaurant Hook & Reel lists. The others will be in Maryland (6), New York (5), New Jersey (4), North Carolina (3), Pennsylvania (2), and one each in Colorado, Connecticut, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio and Rhode Island.
6. Its boil-in-the-bag style is similar to that of J&C Crab - Juicy Seafood, which opened on Main Street last year.

7. Its menu allows you to pick your ‘catch,’ your sauce and spice level. It also offers seafood combos, apps, baskets and sandwiches.
8. Its drink menu includes house specials such as the Hook Punch, which contains coconut rum, blueberry liqueur, pineapple juice and sweet & sour mix.

9. Its corporate Facebook page has a rating of 3.6 out of 5 with 72 reviews. However, its Revere location has a Google review rating of 4.3 on 423 reviews.
10. The local franchise owners recently received their liquor license from the Worcester Licensing Commission, and they suggested they would be open in 2019, perhaps as early as next month.
