Lincoln Plaza is getting a new tenant.
Planet Fitness will be moving into the shopping center, according to the Planet Fitness website and city of Worcester records.
The Planet Fitness website has a page for the Lincoln Plaza site. It reads that it’s “Coming Soon!” and a building permit on file with the City of Worcester notes the tenant is Planet Fitness.

Planet Fitness will be taking the place of the former W Fitness gym, which closed in 2017. A video tour of the gym’s future layout shows a generous space that’s only currently available in the former W Fitness space.

On a recent visit, the site was occupied by multiple work crews.
Before W Fitness, the space was originally originally Bally’s, which closed in 2011.
The addition continues an impressive run for the mall, which a little more than a year ago had multiple openings after Ruby Tuesday, Staples and Barnes & Noble closed.
Home Goods and T.J. Maxx opened in April, and Torito Mexican Restaurant opened in June.
