On August 1st, City Manager Eric Batista and Mayor Joe Petty declared a road safety crisis.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene following Sunday's crash.

The Worcester Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
