Mark DuBois (Mass. State Lottery)
WORCESTER — A Worcester man has won a $1 million prize on a Massachusetts State Lottery scratch ticket sold at a local market.
Mark DuBois claimed the prize after purchasing a “$4,000,000 Cash King Doubler” scratch ticket at Brattle Stop Pizza, located at 1 Brattle Street in Worcester.
DuBois opted for the lump sum cash option, receiving a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes. He said he plans to invest his winnings.
Brattle Stop Pizza will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
DuBois is the latest $1 million winner from Worcester, and second in a week.
Last week, Michelle Sloan won on a ticket she bought in Millbury.
In June, Matthew Tracy hit for $1 million on a ticket he purchased in West Boylston.
And in March, Alan D'Allessandro hit on a ticket he bought in Shrewsbury.
