Bull Mansion, formerly GAR Hall, sold
Bull Mansion, which had its liquor license seized in September for nonpayment of meals taxes, has been sold to a Rhode Island company.
The historic property at 55 Pearl St. was sold to Arkland LLC for $1,160,000 in a deal that closed on Thursday, according to records on file with the Worcester Register of Deeds. Arkland, a Johnston, R.I. company, also owns property in Auburn and Oxford.

The building has seemingly not seen events since September when the state Department of Revenue has seized its liquor license.
The Telegram & Gazette reported that nearly $59,000 was owed to the state.
The sale follows a Jan. 3 announcement on Facebook that read: "Wonderful news! Bull Mansion will be reopening the week of January 20th! More details to be provided shortly!"
In May 2019, owners Victoria Mariano and Aditya Tibrewal put the building on the market and told the Worcester Business Journal they were looking for investors, but intended to run the business if real estate was sold. “We want to have a partner on the property,” Mariano said to WBJ.
In October 2019, closed its bistro to focus on events, according to an article on MassLive.
Bull Mansion opened in 2016. A restaurant, 55 Pearl, was a previous occupant.
Bull Mansion is also known as the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) Hall.
The wikipedia listing for the GAR Hall reads, in part: "The structure was built in 1876 as the home of George and Sarah Bull. It was designed by Calvert Vaux and paid for by Daniel B. Wesson, Sarah Bull's father. George Bull, a young doctor, found the house too expensive to keep, and eventually separated from his wife and moved west. Helen Marble, wife of the next owner, was the daughter of Ethan Allen, who was like Daniel Wesson involved in the manufacture of arms. The building was sold to the local GAR chapter in 1912, with an addition made to it that was designed by Worcester architect Stephen C. Earle. It was eventually turned over to the city as a memorial to all of its war veterans, and has since changed hands and uses several times."
