Groupon tickets for Hanover Theatre show more than twice box office cost
The deal site Groupon has often sold discount tickets to shows at the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts. Its tickets to one April show, though, may be no bargain.
On April 16, acclaimed actor and director Rob Reiner will appear at the Hanover for a 35th anniversary screening of "This is Spinal Tap," his classic, groundbreaking "rockumentary."
As of Monday night, tickets sold on Groupon (directly below) ranged in price from $113 to $251.
Similar tickets on the Hanover Theatre website, however, range in price from $49 to $69. VIP tickets for $150 are offered on the Hanover website, but those seats are not offered on Groupon.
There is no mention on the Groupon page of special access and the site is clear that "Groupon promo codes may not be used for this offer."
It's important to note that, as the offer states, "Groupon is not affiliated with or sponsored by Movie Special Events or The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts in connection with this deal."
If you're looking to go to this show, you're probably better off going to the box office or Hanover website.
